League of Garmin Virtual Race: Waiver and Release of Liability

In consideration of this entry being accepted, I, the participant, intending to be legally bound, do hereby waive and forever release any and all rights and claims for damages or injuries that I may have against the Event Director, RunSignup.com, and all of their agents assisting with the event, sponsors and their representatives, volunteers, and employees for any and all injuries to me or my personal property. This release includes all injuries and/or damages suffered by me before, during, or after the event. I recognize, intend, and understand that this release is binding on my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.

I understand that this is a virtual event. I will choose my own route, location, date, and time within the event window, and I am solely responsible for my own safety. I understand that there is no marked or closed course, no traffic control, no aid stations, no course marshals, and no medical personnel or support of any kind provided by the event. I agree to obey all traffic laws and local regulations, to stay aware of my surroundings, and to select a route and conditions that are safe for my ability level.

I know that running, walking, and other physical activity are potentially hazardous. I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able to do so and properly trained. I assume all risks associated with participating in this event including, but not limited to: falls, contact with vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians, or animals, the effects of weather, traffic, terrain and route conditions, and exercising alone or in remote areas, and I waive any and all claims I might have based on any of those and other risks typically found in running or walking. I acknowledge all such risks are known and understood by me. I certify, as a material condition of my being permitted to enter, that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and that I have consulted a licensed physician regarding any health concerns that could affect my participation.

I understand that no medical support is provided. In the event of an illness, injury, or medical emergency during my participation, I am responsible for seeking my own care, and I agree that I will be fully responsible for payment of any and all medical services and treatment rendered to me including, but not limited to, medical transport, medications, treatment, and hospitalization.

I understand that results may be submitted or tracked through third-party platforms and devices, including GPS watches and activity-tracking apps. I agree that the results I submit will be accurate and my own. I consent to my name and results being displayed on event leaderboards and communications. I understand that the organizers are not responsible for device errors, app or platform outages, syncing problems, or lost data, and that my use of any third-party platform is subject to that platform's own terms and privacy policy.

Further, I grant permission to all the foregoing to use my name, voice, results, and any photographs or videos of me that I submit or share in connection with this event, in any print, video, or electronic format, for legitimate purposes including promotion of this and future events.

All entry fees are non-refundable, and entries and bib numbers are non-transferable. The organizers reserve the right to postpone, modify, or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond their control, such as a natural disaster or emergency, or as required to protect the safety of participants and staff. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. The organizers reserve the right to change the details of the event without prior notice.

By submitting this entry, I acknowledge (or a parent or legal guardian acknowledges on behalf of any participant under 18 years of age) having read and agreed to the above release and waiver, including the no-refund policy.
