Race Participation Contract
In consideration of you accepting this entry, I, the participant, intending to be legally bound do hereby acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions of the race:
Disease Prevention & Control Policy Acknowledgement
As it applies to my participation in this race, I agree to abide by the Center for Disease Control (CDC)’s recommendations for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 and attest to having read the CDC’s current guidance on the subject. I also agree to abide by any COVID-19 and other safety guidelines issued at any time by the state, the community, or by Next Opportunity Events, LLC for my participation in this race. I acknowledge that I have fully read the Next Opportunity Events Disease Prevention and Control Policy and agree to abide by the terms of that policy.
Email Communication Acknowledgement
In accordance with the CAN-SPAM act of 2003, I understand that should I opt to unsubscribe from email communications from Next Opportunity Events that I will no longer receive any emails from Next Opportunity Events about this event. Should I unsubscribe from email communications from Next Opportunity Events I assume all responsibility in ensuring that I am aware of all event details and changes to those details leading up to the start of the event.
Race Rules and Conduct Acknowledgement
By signing this waiver I also agree to abide by all race rules listed in the official Next Opportunity Events Race Participation Policy at https://nextopportunityevents.com/terms-policies. I also acknowledge that I have read all materials provided by the organizers for the race at www.nextopportunityevents.com.
I understand that the Event Director is under no obligation to provide any specific type of food or beverage at the aid stations and that I will accept what is provided at aid stations and at the finish line. The Event Director is required to provide participants with fluids and food at aid stations sufficient to keep participants adequately hydrated and nutritionally sustained. Event Director is under no obligation to provide food that meets my specific culinary tastes. I further understand that aid stations are intended to provide me with hydration and nutrition for the purposes of sustaining me to the next aid station and are not intended to provide a full buffet of food options.
I understand and agree that race tee shirts are optional and that I am not guaranteed to receive my desired tee shirt size if I register or change my registration within 30 days of the race. I further understand that giveaway and add-on items such as shirts and medals will not be mailed to me should I not attend the race in person except with a prior written agreement with the event organizers.
I further understand and acknowledge that alterations to the race route may be deemed necessary by the Event Organizer or other Safety Agencies in order to protect the well-being of me and other participants. As such I accept and acknowledge that the race route may be changed at any time prior to or during the race for safety reasons at the discretion of the Event Organizer.
Pet Acknowledgement
I acknowledge and understand that no pets are allowed on the race course or at the race site of any Next Opportunity Events races. This includes dogs on- or off-leash. Per regulations related to the Next Opportunity Events, LLC insurance policies pets are prohibited for the duration of that event unless written approval is provided by the Event Organizers. Spectators, volunteers, or participants who bring a pet to the race will be asked to have their pet removed from the race premises.
By submitting this entry, I acknowledge (or a parent or adult guardian for all children under 18 years) having read and agreed to the above release and waiver including the no refund policy.
