By registering on masseychallenge.com and participating in the Massey Challenge, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Fundraising & Donation Policy I understand that all funds raised and donations submitted through masseychallenge.com are charitable contributions benefiting VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center. All donations are final and non-refundable, regardless of whether I complete the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k, presented by Kroger or participate in related events.
2. Third-Party Event Disclaimer & Separate Race Registration I acknowledge that the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k, presented by Kroger is independently owned, operated, and managed by Sports Backers, and not by VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center. Registering for the Massey Challenge on masseychallenge.com does not automatically register me for the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k race. I understand that official race registration must be completed separately through Sports Backers at https://www.sportsbackers.org/events/monument-ave-10k/. My participation in the physical 10k event is governed separately by the rules, terms, and safety waivers established by Sports Backers. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my fundraising activities and agree to release, hold harmless, and discharge VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center, Virginia Commonwealth University, VCU Health System, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and volunteers from any and all claims, liabilities, loss, or damages arising out of my participation in the Massey Challenge.
3. Communications Consent I agree to receive communications regarding my fundraising account, campaign tips, event logistics, and news regarding research and care at VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center via email and text message. I may opt out of promotional communications at any time.
4. Photo, Video, and Media Release I grant full permission to VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Massey Challenge, and its authorized representatives to capture, use, edit, publish, and distribute photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, and digital images taken of me (or my participating minor child) during Massey Challenge events, team gatherings, and race-day activities. I understand these materials may be used in future promotional materials, websites, social media, marketing campaigns, reports, and advertisements without notice, compensation, or royalty obligations.
By submitting this entry, I acknowledge (or a parent or adult guardian for all children under 18 years) having read and agreed to the above release and waiver including the no refund policy.
