As participants log their miles and we make our way through our base network, you can learn more about the cities and bases Republic Airways Associates and LIFT Academy students and instructors call home. The highlights of these cities are just some of the reasons why our Associates are proud to be part of and serve these communities.

MYR

Myrtle Beach is known for its celebrity-designed golf courses
Take a long walk on the Atlantic coast and enjoy the beachfront boardwalk full of arcades, souvenir stands and restaurants
Family Kingdom amusement park—An old-fashioned amusement park with more than 35 thrilling rides by the sea
SkyWheel—A must-see attraction at 187 feet tall, one of the country's tallest Ferris wheels

Freedom Trail– Follow this 2.5-mile red line as it meanders through the streets of Boston and intersects with 16 major historical sites along the way. Start at the beginning, middle, or end of the trail, and stop at such prominent locations as the location of the Boston Massacre, the Paul Revere House, and the Old North Church
 
Faneuil Hall–Located close to the Boston Harbor, this marketplace and meeting hall has been in existence since 1743. Brave the weekend crowds to visit the interior food hall, or peruse the surrounding shop
 
Boston Harbor - Filled with fishing boats, whale-watching vessels, sail boats, and fancy yachts, the Boston Harbor has always been the epicenter of activity in Beantown. Stand and look out over the Harbor from the same point that the Boston Tea Party took place almost 250 years ago, or take a ferry to explore the
network of Boston Harbor Islands.

Short North Arts District –Artistic Hub of Columbus, Visit the galleries and boutiques
 
Go for a jog in German Village – Historic neighborhood featuring brick streets and homes. Visit Schiller Park for Shakespeare in the Park, walk to Jenni’s Ice Cream, and stop in to the Book Loft.
 
Walk around Franklin Park and Conservatory - The only botanical garden in the world with a permanent collection of glass artwork by Dale Chihuly.

National Mall—bike, walk or jog around the home to iconic monuments including the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. At the eastern end is the U.S. Capitol, and the White House is to the north. It's also flanked by Smithsonian museums.
 
Georgetown— go for as stroll around this charming area while taking in the Federal-style architecture, cobblestone streets and fashion and design shops.

Branch Brook Park —the largest collection of blossom trees in the United States
 
Visit Newark Riverfront Park – Newark’s “urban oasis by the river”.
 
Take a self-guided tour of Newark’s historic sites by visiting Newark Walks.

Galveston Island is home to some of the best attractions Texas has to offer, including Moody Gardens  as well as Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Waterpark and the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier amusement park. Having one of the largest and well-preserved concentrations of Victorian architecture in the country, Galveston allows visitors to explore the island’s interesting history by touring one of its popular historic mansions.

Visit Pleasure Pier, one of the few spots in the world with this many rides over water! Fly over guests on the pier or soar over the Gulf of Mexico.

Downtown Canal Walk—several miles of walking trail alongside the canal. There are restaurants and other activities lining the canal in addition to several several monuments including the Medal of Honor memorial and the USS Indianapolis.
 
Bike through the “cultural districts” on the Cultural Trail. This cool bike-pedestrian path connects five downtown cultural districts, each representing a distinct portion of Indianapolis’ population and history.
 
Monon Rail Trail, a former railroad line turned 10-mile greenway path, stretches from downtown to Carmel and is now one of Indy's most popular exercise trails.

Times Square—Bustling destination in the heart of the Theater District known for bright lights, shopping & shows.
 
Central Park—Sprawling park with pedestrian paths & ballfields, plus a zoo, carousel, boat rentals & a reservoir.
 
Visit John V. Lindsay East River Park where you can run or walk the track along the East river.

Navy Pier—enjoy more than fifty acres of parks, gardens, shops, restaurants, family attractions and exhibition facilities.
 
Boystown—stroll around the first officially recognized village in the States!
 
Magnificent Mile—Chicago's largest shopping district, various mid-range and high-end shops line this the famous street.
 
Millennium Park— Chi-town’s the number one tourist attraction, including the famous Cloud Gate, also known as “The Bean”.

Duquesne Incline -Enjoy a spectacular panorama of Pittsburgh and its three rivers. Ride to the incline's Observation Deck in the 140-year-old   Incline car to see what USA Today Weekend Magazine calls one of the "10 most beautiful views in America".
 
Bike the Steel Valley Trail and enjoy views of the Monongahela River. Find other great biking spots at www.bikepgh.org
 
Visit the Rachel Carson hiking trail—all 45 miles of it!  Here the annual Trail Challenge pits runners and hikers against a 35-mile trek that must be completed in just one day. But if you'd rather take it easy, you can break it up section-by-section.

Louisville Mega Cavern is a former limestone mine that stretches under parts of the Watterson Expressway and the Louisville Zoo. You can zipline, bike or just explore!
 
Tour Waterfront Park-  this 85- acre, “peaceful oasis in the heart of the city” has something for everyone!
 
Visit the The Parklands of Floyds Fork. The five sections of The Parklands offer miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, canoeing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding on the waterway known as Floyd Fork. theparklands.org
