3 Mile Swim
3 mile swim will start, in the water, approximately 5 minutes after the 1 mile swimmers (9:35am start time). Swimmers will go to the end of the rock jetty, and turn right, heading north along the shoreline. The 3 mile swimmers will swim PAST the 1 mile turnaround, and continue until they reach the point (and another turnaround buoy - yellow in color). Swimmers will then make a counterclockwise turn and return, following orange sight buoys, back to the entrance to Bivalve Harbor.
Swimmers will swim between the two buoys, signalling the entrance to Bivalve Harbor (consider this a gate that you must pass through) before turning left and coming back to shore. The swimmers time will end when they come on to the beach and pass through the finish line arch.
