Rucking is walking with weight and purpose. Derived from the word "Rucksack", rucking is putting weight in to a bag and carrying that weight for a distance (in this case 22 miles). It’s simple, scalable, and one of the most effective ways to build strength and endurance at the same time. The best part, you can do it with friends!!! Some of the most meaningful moments we have had with our friends was during a rucking event.
When selecting a rucksack, consider these key factors:

Dogs are allowed. All dogs must be leashed per local laws. Please make sure that your dog is able to complete the challenge that you sign up for, or have arrangenments made for a ride. We also recommend supplying water and food for you pets as needed.

Parking is free! The owners of Westport River Winery and Vinyards supports the RFV Veterans Day 22 Mile Ruck Challenge with free parking.
Stay hydrated and energized during the ruck with our strategically placed support stations! Refuel and rest at our water stops located at mile 5.5 and mile 16.5, where you'll find refreshing beverages and quick snacks. The highlight of the route is our scenic lunch stop at the beautiful Westport Rivers Winery and Vineyard, situated at mile 11.
All participants will recieve a tshirt, patch, and drink ticket to Westport Winery and Vineyards
Registration will be available on the morning of the event at the designated check-in area. Please arrive early to complete the registration process and ensure a smooth start to the race.
