Troop Fundraising
Want to earn some extra money for YOUR Girl Scout troop?
Join the Go-Getter Challenge!
Please Note: You don't have to participate in the run to create a troop fundraising page and raise money.
It’s easy – just follow the steps below!
-
Click here or select the "Become a Fundraiser" option from the menu on the race homepage. Set up a fundraising page for your troop. Include your troop number in your page name. Add a troop photo, stories about your favorite Girl Scout memories, or information about what you are raising money for - like a troop trip or community service project!
-
Everyone is a potential supporter! Share the link to your fundraising page with your friends on social media, coworkers, neighborhood friends, etc.
-
Keep sharing and re-sharing your link! Your friends and family won't mind hearing from you often.
-
Watch the money roll in! At the end of November, the fundraiser will end and GSGATL will send a direct deposit to your troop bank account for 50% of the proceeds raised on your fundraising page. You must raise at least $100 on your page to be eligible to receive 50% of the proceeds. The rest of the funds will support Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta to provide incredible experiences for your Girl Scouts, cover the cost of volunteer background checks and trainings, and provide financial aid for girls in need.
The funds you receive from GSGATL must be used for approved troop purchases including meeting supplies, troop trips, camp registration fees, supplies for badge-earning activities, etc. Last year, troops used their funds to go on a troop trip to the Juliette Gordon Low Birthplace in Savannah, to purchase supplies for a Silver Award project, and to register their girls for an incredible summer at Girl Scout Camp!
Click here to access the troop fundraising toolkit which is full of information about how to set up your page, a timeline for engaging your troop in goal-setting and fundraising activities, as well as sample social media posts and graphics.
