Stay Active

Looking for ways to stay active while at Symposium?

Philadelphia has tons of running routes and fitness activities to keep you moving.

Schuylkill River Trail

This trail stretches for 26.5 miles and will take you on a scenic route throughout the city. Run or bike along the Schuylkill River as you pass by the Art Museum and the beautiful boathouse row. This trail takes you all the way through Valley Forge National Historic Park. Just don't get distracted and go too far, we don't want to miss you at Symposium!

From the Warwick Hotel, you can reach the Schuylkill River Trail by traveling west along Locust St (through Rittenhouse Park) for approximately 3/4 of a mile.

West Fairmount Park

Fairmount Park is one of the largest urban parks in the country. The park is over 5 times the size of Central Park and houses the Mann Center for Performing Arts, the Philadelphia Zoo, and other historic landmarks. In fact, Fairmount Park is home to the Belmont Plateau, a historic cross-country course that Bob ran in college!

Wissahickon Valley Park

If you have a car and a little more time, we recommend checking out Wissahickon Valley park in the northwest corner of the park. Wissahickon is an urban oasis beloved by resident runners, walkers, and mountain bikers for it's 50+ miles of trails and peaceful setting.
