Deferral Option
Please read through the following GDFAR POLICIES:
DEFERRALS ARE ALLOWED BEFORE THE OCT. 15, 2026 DEADLINE. NO REFUNDS ARE PERMITTED. NO PERSON TO PERSON TRANSFERS ARE ALLOWED.
Rules for Race Deferrals: Must Email beth@gooddayforarun.com to request a deferral before the Final Deadline of Oct. 15, 2026. A Race Deferral is the only change permitted. You may defer your Half Marathon entry to another equal or lesser value Run the Vineyards or GDFAR race.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - In the event you can no longer run due to any reason, we empathize with you and invite you to sign up to volunteer and receive a free entry to next year's Run the Vineyards Half Marathon or 2 shorter distance races.
IMPORTANT POLICY NOTES:
- This is a unique race and we depend on the honesty and character of all participants to provide the best experience for our running community.
- Person to Person Transfers are STRICTLY PROHIBITED. For safety reasons, we can not allow unregistered and improperly labeled individuals to participate. Strict adherance is expected and runners will be disqualified and unable to participate without proper registration and signed waiver. You may NOT transfer your race entry to a new runner at any time under any circumstances.
- ID is checked upon race bib pick up. Packets are not mailed. Packet pick up is required in person during designated times or on race morning from 7-8AM. Email beth@gooddayforarun.com to give permission for someone else pick up your packet.
- If for any reason, you are unable to participate in the Half Marathon, an email and deferral fee payment is required for the newly selected race. If the new race costs less money, you will forfeit any difference in cost. To select a new race, view our race calendar here: https://gooddayforarun.com/race-calendar/ prior to emailing. In the email, please mention the newly selected race. Please Read Time Table below for email and deferral fee requirements.
- If you don't know which race you would like to enter instead of the Half Marathon, a race credit will be provided for the amount paid for the race minus required race deferral fee in the form of a "Coupon code."
Race Deferral Fee and Email Request deadlines:
1. Fee $10 for email sent by 08/15/26 (90 days before Half Marathon.)
2. Fee $15 for email sent by 09/15/26. (60 Days before Half Marathon.)
3. Fee $20 for email sent by 10/15/26- final deadline. (30 days before Half Marathon.)
4. Deferral Requests emailed after the Oct. 15, 2026 deadline will be denied. Option to volunteer to receive your race credit or forfeit your payment.
