Race Day Athlete Guide
Check-In
Early packet pick-up will be Friday, 4/14/23, at The Rock School from 2:45p – 4:00pm under the awning at the school entrance. We encourage our 5K racers to pick your items up early if you can.
· For our 5k racers, you will pick up your race bib, safety pins and superhero cape*
If you are not able to pick your items up on Friday, please arrive by 9:00am on Saturday. Your items will be available at the check-in table.
*Superhero Capes
If you registered by April 1st, you will receive a free superhero cape. We’d love to have you wear these on race day! If you did not register in time to receive a free cape, we encourage you to still wear your best superhero attire!
Event Schedule (times could vary)
8:30am – 9:15am: Check-in at The Rock School soccer field (all activities and food vendors will open at 8:30am)
9:15am - Welcome and announcements
9:20am - Warm up and stretching session
9:25am – Runners corral at starting line
9:30am – 5K shot gun start
9:35am – 1-mile Fun Run start
10:30am – Awards ceremony, preceded by a message from Foster Florida
Parking
Parking will be available at The Rock School parking lot. Please follow the traffic signs upon arrival. Please use caution for pedestrians.
Fun for the Entire Family!
Plan to come early or stay after the race and enjoy some fun family time! Ollie’s Shaved Ice truck and Honey Nitro Coffee cart will be available for purchase. Face painting, a bounce house, Gaga ball pit, playground, and plenty of sporting areas will be available.
Course Information
Water Stops:
· 5K – two water stops will be available along the route at approximately 1 and 2 miles.
· A water station will also be set up at the soccer field near the race start/finish line.
Route:
· The 5K route will go through Haile Plantation and Hampstead Park. The route can be viewed here.
· The 1-mile Fun Run will take place on The Rock School soccer field
Both will start and finish at The Rock School soccer field.
5K Timing
Your bibs contain a chip that records your individual race time. When you cross the finish line your time will stop. Real time results are provided by Start2Finish Race Management and will be available when you finish and also online at StartToFinishRaceManagement.com
Awards
There will be an awards ceremony immediately after the race. Awards categories can be found here.
Don’t forget, we will also have awards for the best dressed superheroes!
