FAQs & Important Info

Can I walk instead of run?

Absolutely! Walkers, joggers, and casual runners of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to join the SBS Swan Shuffle. Spectators are also very welcome to come cheer on the runners and enjoy the post-course celebration!

Do parents/guardians need to stay with their children?

Yes. The SBS Swan Shuffle is a family community event, not a drop-off activity. All children must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or designated adult for the duration of the event. Children under 8 years of age must have an adult with them on the Cross Country course.

What happens if it rains?

At Sant Bani School, we are used to being outdoors no matter the weather! Please dress appropriately for autumn weather. In the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions, updates will be sent via email to registered participants.

What should I wear?

Please dress in layers for cool, autumn temperatures. The courses take place both on the track and on dirt trails in the woods, so athletic shoes or trail running shoes are strongly recommended.

Can I bring a wheelchair or stroller?

Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome around the track and field area. However, because the 2-mile cross-country course covers unpaved, uneven trail terrain, the trail portion is limited to foot traffic only.

Can I bring my dog/pet?

For the safety and comfort of all participants and spectators, pets are not allowed on campus and/or on the courses. Thank you for your cooperation!

Where do I park?

Staff will direct you as you arrive on campus. To help us be courteous to our neighbors, please follow all parking instructions and signs.

Where do I pick up my bib and t-shirt?

Check-in opens at 1:30 PM at the Allen Athletic Field & Track. Please arrive with plenty of time to collect your bib, safety pins, and shirt before our 2:00 PM community warm-up!

Is water provided on the courses?

Water stations will be available at the start/finish area. We also encourage participants to bring their own reusable water bottles.

Are restrooms available on-site?

Yes, campus restrooms will be open and clearly signed for all participants and spectators.
