Follow Me 5K and Fun Run

      SpringFest - "Follow Me 5K and Fun Run" & Pancake Breakfast- Saturday, May 2 

Great race for young kids and families!!!!   Easy and flat 1/2-mile fun run for younger kids.

Don't let "any" rain slow ya down!! We have a large gym to keep us dry that can hold all the fun with plenty of indoor seating for serving and eating pancakes, bake sales, door prizes and kids' games along with the large bounce house and slide. There is also a covered shelter next to the race start line that can be used to help stay dry. Runners will need to run between the raindrops, though.

Over $900 of door prizes to be given away after the 5K finishes. (approximately 9:30ish). Any Race entry ($10 for fun run) or Pancake breakfast ticket ($10) automatically enters you into the door prize drawings. (must be present to win).

Early packet pickups will be available from 4:00-6:00pm on Friday May 1st in the side parking lot next to the outdoor playground. Packet pickups on race day will be from 7:00am till 8:00am. "HIGHLY" recommended to attend early packet pickup to save time. Race bags contain up to $30 in value in give aways and discounts. Free 1 hour of Big Air gift cards included with first 30 to sign up for the fun run!!!!

This 5K and Half-mile Fun Run is sponsored by Trinity United Methodist Church as part of the #Trinitystrong Spring festival.  Half-mile Fun Run starts at 8:00am. 5K starts at 8:30am. Both races will be timed events.  Pancake breakfast begins at 8:30 and lasts till 10:30am. Tickets are available to purchase in advance from the church office for $10 and will also be available on site during the event for the same price.

This event will also celebrate our "75th Anniversary" as a church in Anderson at this location.

First place overall Male and Female in the 1/2-mile run will receive Chic-Fil-A food cards in the amount of $25.00. First place overall Male and Female in the 5K run will receive Chic-Fil -A food cards in the amount of $50.00 along with the individual trophies.

Age group winners and awards will be given out for both events consisting of medals and chic fil a food cards while supplies last.

In addition, door prizes will be given out during the event drawn from the race bib numbers and pancake breakfast ticket stubs. You must be present to win. Door prizes will be given out after the 5K race is completed approximately 9:30ish. listen for announcements.

Current door prizes include SC Palmetto tree silver and diamond necklace (retail value $300), YMCA 3-month free membership ($100), lots of GIFT CARDS of $15, $20, $25 up to $50 each, gift baskets, with many more items totaling well over $900.

Also, race bags will contain lots of giveaway items including Chic-Fil -A gift cards, free hour of Big Air jump time, free ice cream, Krispy Kreme and Gotta Run discounts cards, local restaurant discount cards with many more with a total value up to $30.

The Spring festival with kid's games and entertainment will be happening along with the races and run until 11:00am.  We hope you will plan to bring your whole family to participate in the event, cheer each other on in the race and enjoy the Spring Festival events, which are open to the community and includes:

Last day to order T-shirts to be included in your packet pick up will be Wednesday April 22nd. Individual shirts may also be available to purchase on race day but only as supplies last. Save $20.00 on registration fee if you make 5 or more referrals. Race prices will go up to $35.00 for the 5K and $15.00 for the fun run before race day, so do not forget to register early.

Festival proceeds will support TUMC's efforts as we continue a legacy of serving the local Anderson community. Pamphlets detailing the local community impact will be readily available on site and be included in the race packet. Upcoming church events and contact information will also be included.
