Crab Crawl 5k

ABOUT THE RACE

Grounded Running presents the 2020 Crab Crawl 5k as part of the amazing Taste of Beaufort Festival. The race will include a 5K Run/Walk on Saturday May 2, 2020 starting at 8:00am. The Race will begin and end in Downtown Beaufort located at Bay and Newcastle Streets. The 5K course is USATF Certified & Sanctioned (SC18010DW) and will be chipped timed and follow all USATF Rules & Guidelines. The race will be directed by Tim Waz and the staff of Grounded Running Event Management & Timing Services. Early race registration is open February 26, 2020 to April 4, 2020. Late registration is April 5 - 29, 2019.  The cost to register during the late registration period is $30. Race day registration will be available at Grounded Running and race morning for $35.00 - shirt sizes are not guaranteed for race day registration nor will shirts be mailed after the event The race is open to all runners and walkers of all abilities. There is a single water station at the turn around point on the course.

There will be a kids Fun Run at 8:45 am,  following the conclusion of the main race event.  The Fun run is open to kids up to 7 years old.  No registration is required for the Fun Run.  No winners, or prizes will be awarded for the Fun Run

AWARDS:

Top 3 Overall Male & Female awards and Age Groups awards top 3 Male & Female: 8-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.                

PACKET PICK UP:

Packet pick up will take place on Friday May 1, 2020 at Grounded Running Beaufort, (2139 Boundary Street, Suite 108 Beaufort, SC  29902).  Packets can also be picked up from 7:00-7:45 am at the starting line on the morning of the race.

Race Day Registration:

Race Day registration will take place at the starting line on race day from 7:00-7:45 am only to ensure an on-time start.

 Please register early!  Race T-shirt sizes are only guaranteed if you register before April 24th. Shirts will be available on a first come basis for all race day registration and no additional shirts will be ordered or mailed.
