Walk, run, swim, bike - whatever exercise you like - wherever you like to do it, and at the same time learn more about Charleston's most beautiful parks. Visit 20 parks using our 26.2 miles virtual route in 28 days. It's as easy as a walk in the park!
Our first-ever virtual challenge event has ended, and what a month it has been. A total of 232 individuals registered for the event, and over the course of 28 days, you walked, ran, biked, swam, paddled or otherwise racked up a total of 6,521.47 miles. That's like walking from Charleston to Houston, then to Las Vegas, up to Portland, over to Minneapolis and then back to Charleston. WOW!
We had some truly outstanding individual achievements recorded as well. The winners in each category are:
Swim: Lee Ann Bain - 4 miles
Paddle: Kristine White - 11.75 miles
Run: Hunter Graham - 100.29 miles
Bike: Joshua Hays - 132.92 miles
Other: Meaghan McIntyre - 149.32
And the person who recorded more miles that any other person, and did it all by Walking, is William Simpson. Bill recorded a whopping 325.44 miles! Congratulations to everyone who completed the virtual marathon!
CANNON PARK: 1 lap around the park = 0.2 miles
