Description
BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Race 13.1 Charleston, SC returns to beautiful Middleton Woodlands for another Halloween-themed half marathon, 10k and 5k on October 29, 2016! The oldest and second largest city in South Carolina, Charleston is filled with charm, history, culture, great shopping and even better dining. It would be hard to find a more wonderful place to spend a race weekend!
The race will take place at Middleton Woodlands, which is adjacent to one of Charleston's top attractions and National Historic Landmark, Middleton Place. While historic downtown Charleston has plenty to offer, the host property has a lot to offer as well, including the Middleton Gardens, which are known as "America's Oldest Landscaped Gardens" and kayaking tours that offer a chance to see Middleton Place's natural beauty and abundant wildlife.
The course will follow hard-packed dirt trails, giving runners a unique opportunity to run on a different surface. Taking place completely on private property, this course will be unlike any other and offer runners the opportunity to take in breathtaking scenery throughout the entire race.
