Description

Melanin Parks Foundation Presents Remember The Ancestors 5k Walk and Run. Melanin Parks Foundation is a Non-Profit 5013c that started to promote and improve diversity and inclusivity in the Greater Charlotte / Fort Mill Areas.

Community support is at the heart of every big social change, every generational shift, and every big win for diversity and inclusivity. It starts locally, perhaps with small races with big missions, like Remember The Ancestors 5k, that ultimately create a better tomorrow for all people. Melanin Parks was built on the founding principle that, "Together, we can make a change." We believe, overtime, the little ways we all show up and show out in support of a better future is the real way to make an impact in the world. Remember The Ancestors 5k is where we start. Showing up for this 5k event is not only an active participation in creating change around diversity and inclusivity, but provides support to our organization that will continue this work from a variety of angles.

If you want to show up and show out for our little corner of the world, join us in celebration of our ancestors and in pursuit of our dreams for a better future. May you be touched by the waves of change we create at this event!
