Welcome to the 2019 Palmetto Heart 5K Walk / Run.
We have 2 fun activities planned for you:
1. 5K Run - professionally timed for awards (see divisions below) - register on THIS SITE (click Sign Up button above).
- Entry Fee is $30 before April 26 / $35 on race day
- Packet Pickup is race morning at race site
- Start Time - 8:30am
2. 5K and 1 mile non-competitive Walk (non-timed) - register at PalmettoHeartWalk.org
- Entry is FREE
- Start Time - 9:30am
By participating in the Heart Walk, you’re joining a million Heart Walk Heroes from across the nation raising funds for lifesaving science. Science that can teach us all how to live longer and be Healthy For Good.

When and Where is the walk?
Saturday, April 27 - start time is 8:30am (5K Run / Walk) and 9:30am (5K and 1mi Walk only) at the Shelter Cove Community Park
How long is the walk?
The Heart Walk is a 5K race or 1 mile loop, non-competitive walk.
Is the Race timed?
Yes, the 5K Run / Walk is timed using rfid chip technology - results will be posted online the day of the event.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, leashed dogs are allowed and water bowls will be available for drinking.
Will food be provided?
There will be a food tent in the festival area for all participants with light refreshments.
Will water be available?
Yes, there is one water station along the walk route and one within the festival area.
Where are the bathrooms?
Restrooms are located at the event expo site.
Is the event handicap accessible?
Yes, the route is handicap accessible.
Are strollers allowed on the path?
Strollers are allowed.
What if it rains on the day of the event?
The Heart Walk will go on rain or shine. In the event of severe weather conditions we will notify participants via the website about the status of the event.
Where and When is the Awards Ceremony:
The Awards Ceremony for the 5K will begin approx. 9:30am at the Shelter Cover Community Park
