Our Purpose

The Bohicket Run was founded in 2010 to provide the Low Country running community with a top quality 5K & 10K event. Thanks to the overwhelming support from our runners, The Seabrook Island Community Association, The Town of Seabrook and the Kiawah-Seabrook Exchange Club, the Charleston Animal Society, and the Charleston Running Club, the run has grown every year and is now a top tier 5K & Half Marathon.
The course is unmatched in its beauty with breathtaking views of the sea island marshes, Atlantic Ocean and canopy of historic trees. Runners are treated to sightings of island deer, exotic birds and numerous native wildlife. The equestrian center offers interaction with local horses that have been known to run alongside the runners (on their side of the fence of course) returning to the finish line. Water and Gatorade stations are plentiful on the course and upon returning to the finish line at the Fresh Fields Village Green runners are treated to an abundance of food and beverages.

The Kiawah-Seabrook Exchange Club

is a service organization whose mission is community enrichment through the support and development of programs which focus upon the Prevention of Child Abuse, Youth Development and Education, Americanism, and Community Outreach.
