Join Heart of Hospice Lancaster, formally known as Hospice of Lancaster & The Piedmont, for Miles That Matter, a virtual 5K dedicated to honoring the patients and families we proudly serve. Whether you walk, run, or jump rope, every mile completed helps celebrate the meaningful work our hospice provides throughout the community.

Heart of Hospice Lancaster is more than end‑of‑life care. It’s compassion, dignity, and support for patients and the loved ones walking beside them. Through symptom management, emotional support, and presence during life’s tender moments, our team ensures that no one faces the journey alone.

But our mission continues far beyond a patient’s final day. Our bereavement program provides ongoing grief support to families for months after a loss, offering counseling, support groups, resources, and a safe place to heal. These services are made possible because of our  community partners and events like "Miles That Matter".

By participating, you’re helping us continue this essential work. Complete your 5K anytime, anywhere during the event window. It can be solo or with friends. Take steps that truly make a difference and be eligible to win a prize. We will be gifting a token of appreciation to five participants who complete the most miles from April 12th-April 18th.
