Our races are rain or shine, below outlines how we will handle any potential lightning on race day
Lightning Safety
The safety of our participants, volunteers, and spectators is always our top priority.
If lightning becomes a factor, we will follow the City's weather safety protocol, similar to NCAA guidelines:
- We have a one-hour weather window from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM if needed.
- Racing may begin as soon as there has been no lightning detected within 6 miles for at least 30 consecutive minutes.
- If lightning continues beyond that window, we will evaluate conditions with City officials and communicate any updates immediately.

Yes, there will be porta potties in the Tidal Creek Parking lot
