Bulldogs On The Run 5K & Bark

The city of Orangeburg will be a hotbed for excitement, energy and enthusiasm.  Join us on October 4, 2025 for the 5th Annual Bulldogs on the Run 5K & Bark.  The mission of the event is to promote health and fitness, while providing financial support to students attending South Carolina State University.  

The 5k is a 3.1 mile course that will occur in the downtown area of the Garden City. The race will begin inside of Edisto Memorial Garden, at The Orangeburg Fine Arts Center.  The address is 649 Riverside Drive, Orangeburg, SC 29115

The Bark is a 1.0 mile out-and-back route that will stretch along the outskirts of the 5K route. The starting address is the same as the 5K, listed above.

Packet Pick Up:

You will be able to pick up packets for friends and family.  Friday, October 3 (5:00pm - 7:30pm, Randolph Artisan Italian Ice & Gelato) and Saturday, October 4, 2024 (6:30am - 7:05am, Orangeburg Fine Arts Center)

T-Shirts

Every participant that signs up by September 24, 2025 will receive a t-shirt.  5K participants will receive a polyester blend t-shirt.  Bark participants will be the recipient of a cotton t-shirt.  Shirts are ordered based on the sizes indicated during online registration. NO SWITCHING SIZES – NO EXCEPTIONS!

5K Awards and Age Groups:

1st Place, 2nd & 3rd place for Male and Female

Age groups will be 0-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Timing:

We have partnered with Simply Timing to time this year's event using RM Timing Systems. All 5K participants will be timed and will receive their disposable timing tag during packet pick up.

Refunds and Transfers

Registration fees are non-refundable. Event registrations are non-transferable between individuals, events, or years.

Medic/First Aid:

There will be a medical tent located at the finish line in case of emergency or any medical needs. 

Weather Policy

The races will be held, rain or shine, unless Bulldogs On The Run determines that conditions are too dangerous. This will be based on a prudent decision made on race weekend or race day by Bulldogs On The Run and local law enforcement officials. If the race is canceled due to inclement weather there will be neither refunds nor transfers. This position is consistent with USA Track & Field recommendations and with the protocol of sharing the risks associated with the sport of running. In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, Bulldogs On The Run reserves the right to alter, cancel or eliminate any/all portions of the race.

Parking

PLEASE arrive in time to park. Parking details will be provided at a later date.

Entertainment

We are so excited to have FADE (Forever and A Day Experience) at the Start and Finish line to energize the runners and maintain the fun!

Bib-Transfers

While we do not offer refunds, we do allow for bib transfers. Bib transfers can be completed for a $15 fee through our site at itsyourrace.com. The site will take care of the transfer; those who transfer their bibs will have to work out any payment agreement with the recipient on their own.
