Description
We’re excited to announce the 2024 SSgt Jason Hicks Memorial 5k. This race is in its 12th year. All proceeds benefit the SSgt. Jason Hicks Memorial Scholarship Fund. Jason and five other US Air Force Combat Search and Rescue airmen were killed in action while on a humanitarian mission in Afghanistan in 2003 as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. Since then, the Scholarship has been awarded annually to a graduating senior from Central High School in Pageland, SC, which was Jason’s alma mater.
This race offers a great course, but it is much more than a race. It is a community event with festivities for the whole family. For more information, visit www.JasonHicksMemorial.com.
