Event Description
Lace up your running shoes and join us for the Swamp Stomp 5K, a scenic run through one of the Lowcountry’s most charming coastal towns. Taking place on February 28, 2025, this community event raises vital funds to support The Complete Student, a school dedicated to providing an enriching, well-rounded education for students in grades 5–12.
The race kicks off at 8:00 AM, winding through the picturesque streets of Port Royal, where participants will enjoy beautiful views of local landmarks, peaceful marshes, and the natural Lowcountry scenery that makes this area so special. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or prefer a relaxed walk, everyone is welcome to participate and support a great cause.

Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers in each age division, as well as several special categories celebrating the unique spirit of the Swamp Stomp:

Canine Companion Award – First-place runner accompanied by their pet
Stroller Spirit Award – Fastest runner pushing a stroller
Ageless Athlete Award – Oldest runner to cross the finish line
Swamp Rabbit Spirit Award – Runner who best embodies heart, grit, and determination
🎖️ All participants will receive a finisher award while supplies last.
After crossing the finish line, stick around to celebrate! Enjoy food from a variety of local food trucks serving both savory bites and sweet treats, and explore our craft show featuring local artisans and vendors, offering unique handmade goods, gifts, and more.
All proceeds from the Swamp Stomp 5K directly benefit The Complete Student, helping ensure students have the academic, social, and creative resources they need to thrive.

Yes! If you give someone else permission to picl up your packet for you, that is completley fine! As long as applicaple registration fees are paid and picked up by the pre-determined date.
Yes, there are porta-pottys located at Live Oaks park, 904 14th st port royal.
Yes! same day registration is availble from 7:00- 7:40 am on race day. Race starts at 8:00 am
Yes, there is free parking all througout Port Royal on 14th st, and on Paris Ave
No. Any personal items that you will not be carrying with you while you run the race should be left in your vehicle.
Packet pickup is available at Grounded Running Beaufort. 2139 Boundry st suite 108 Beaufort 29902 on Friday Feb 27th from 10:00 AM- 2:00 pm.
