Women's Wellness 5K

Join LowCountry Habitat for Humanity and the University of South Carolina Center for the Arts for a FUN WOMEN'S ONLY 5K Race on Saturday, March 27th in Port Royal.  Starting at 8 am at Live Oaks Park in Port Royal, you'll run or stroll through Port Royal following a certified 5K course. 

This race is part of CFA’s Women’s Wellness Week (March 20-28, 2021). Our mission is to elevate, empower, enlighten and enrich all women. Topics include financial, spiritual, physical and mental wellness. Dr. Linda Bell, SC State Epidemiologist, will be one of our keynote speakers. There will be an art exhibit created by women, for women as well as many events and workshops of interest to women. All Women’s Wellness Week events will be available virtually and portions will be in-person as well.

Due to COVID restrictions, this will be a limited non-refundable registration of up to 250 participants for our in person LIVE Women's Only 5K.  We have cleared this with the necessary local, state and regional authorities and plan to host a fun, socially distanced event.  We will continue to monitor the situation with the health of our participants, volunteers, supporters and staff at the forefront of our decisions.   

Virtual participation will be available for MEN that would like to join the event or women that will not be able to make the in-person event.  Virtual participants will be able to have their shirts mailed for an additional fee or come by packet pick-up to get theirs in advance. We will make a best effort to mail shirts prior to the event for those requesting this. 

Come ready to run/walk dressed up as your favorite woman. Think of a woman in your life who you admire or who has had a tremendous influence on your life – could be a well-known female figure or your sweet little grandma. Let’s make this a FUN RUN, we can’t wait to see who will be running and walking alongside.

Packet pickup will be available on Thursday, March  25 & Friday, March 26 from 10 am until 5 pm at Grounded Running located at 2139 Boundary Street, Suite 108 (the Old K-Mart), Beaufort, SC 29902.  We do not intend to have a race day pick-up option if this is required, please contact the race director.  Please note that sizes are not guaranteed for registrations after 3/1.   We strongly recommend that you stop by packet pick-up at Grounded Running on Thursday and Friday.

Age categories:  under 12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Prizes awarded to overall top three FEMALES and top two FEMALES in age divisions.  Awards will not be given out on race day but distributed later to help with lowering the crowd.  Awards are for in-person female participants only. 

Please note that we are requesting all racers wear a mask at the starting line and practice social distancing as much as possible.  

The event is pet and stroller-friendly.  Flexi-type leashes will not be allowed at the event.  Please have pets on a standard 4-6ft lead. 

Please note that registration for this event is NOT REFUNDABLE.  If we are unable to host an in-person/live race due to more COVID restrictions, we will transfer to a totally virtual format.
