Description
The goal of Stand for Haiti is to surround the Haitian people with a community of support and resources. This empowers, educates and strengthens communities in Haiti and they become self-sufficient. As we continue to navigate through the uncertainty of COVID, this race is dedicated to the families and students that we serve.
Haitian Sole is motivated by the often bare-footed and mostly worn-out footwear worn by our students. Under the hot sun, they walk to church, work in fields and walk to our LifeProof educational program.
They also walk long miles carrying 5 gallon buckets to collect unsafe water from larvae infested wells or contaminated streams.
We encourage you to gather a group of friends, engage your church, school, organization or place of business; involve your family or participate independently for a minimum of three miles. Walk, Run or Ride to raise awareness and funds that directly support our front-line efforts to provide education and urgent care to those in need. Please know that 100% of your donation goes directly to support the mission of Stand for Haiti.
Each mile is devoted to the people in Haiti that endure the devastating sting of poverty while navigating through a global pandemic. Imagine, an already economically impoverish country has another setback, COVID. It has further exposed the vulnerability of Haiti’s health care system and unpreparedness to handle an outbreak of this magnitude.
Join our journey to Help Haiti Stand. Visit us at www.standforhaiti.org for additional details about our organization.
Walk a mile or two in the shoes of those that are less fortunate.
