Cancelled: 2020 Teddy Bear Trot 5k Race and Fun Run
York Electric’s priority is looking out for you, which means keeping you and others safe in our community. YEC has been monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) threats closely and we have decided, in accordance with the recommendations from the Center of Disease Control and Prevention and our local and state health departments, to cancel the 2020 Teddy Bear Trot 5k and Fun Run, previously scheduled for March 28th. All persons who registered online through our RunSignUp page will receive a refund for their registration fees. We appreciate your patience as we work to do our part in protecting the health of our community members.
While we unfortunately must cancel our event, you can still support this worthy cause from the safety of your home! Join the fight against child abuse by supporting the Children's Attention Home, a local shelter for abused and neglected children and teens. Read on to find out how you can help!

Description
We hope to see you at the 2020 Teddy Bear Trot, a USATF Certified 5k race and mile-long fun run for kids, on Saturday, March 28, 2020, to kick off Child Abuse Awareness Month. All proceeds from the race will benefit the Children's Attention Home, a local shelter for abused and neglected children and teens. Registration will begin at 7:15 AM in the YEC parking lot, 1385 E. Alexander Love Hwy. in York, SC, 29745, followed by the 5k and fun run races at 8:00 and 9:00 AM, respectively. We encourage you to wear blue to show your awareness and support to end child abuse.
Race participants who sign up prior to March 16, 2020 will be guaranteed a t-shirt. All participants will receive a snow cone from Pelican's Snoballs of York after the race and be entered into a raffle for various door prizes.
