Event Questions
When and where is packet pickup? Packet pickup will be on Thursday (April 24th), Friday (April 25th), and Saturday (April 26th).
Packet pickup on Thursday will be at the Salem Montessori School main campus all day (7:30 am - 5:30 pm).
Packet pickup on Friday will be at Fleet Feet Roanoke (12 pm - 6 pm).
Packet pickup on Saturday will be at the Mason Creek Greenway from 7-8:15 am. Please pick up your packet on Thursday or Friday to avoid the rush on Saturday. The packet pickup will end at 8:15 am on Saturday. This is only 15 minutes before the 1 mile. Please do not wait until the last minute.
Where should I park for the race? Park in the parking lots near the Mason Creek Greenway. There is plenty of parking at the surrounding businesses. There will be volunteers at the main parking lot off of Roanoke Blvd.
When should I arrive? The 1 mile starts at 8:30 am. ALL participants should plan to arrive by 8:00 am at the very latest. Arrive earlier if you did not pick up your packet on Friday.
Are strollers and/or dogs allowed? Strollers are permitted. Dogs are not permitted.
Why should I sign up? To support the Salem Montessori School and Children's Trust Roanoke Valley.
What do I get for my entry fee? The 5K is timed and there will be one aid station on the course. Participants receive a cotton t-shirt. Free goody bag for kids that complete the 1 mile. Fun activities will be set up after the race. Free food will be provided in your race packet. Free photo opportunities. Overall and age-group winners will receive awards.
Why did I not see the option to choose my t-shirt when I registered? The shirt deadline is April 7th. All participants must register by April 7th in order to be guaranteed a t-shirt. Any extra shirts will be handed out after the race, first come, first served.
*New this year! We will have several fundraising activities after the race. Each dollar donated will afford you one ticket for these activities. You may donate now or on the day of the event.
