Frequently Asked Questions
Registration
To confirm your registration, log in to your RunSignUp account and navigate to your Profile page. Under "Upcoming Events", you’ll see a list of races you’re currently registered for. If this event appears in your list, your registration is complete. If it does not appear, the registration process was not completed. A confirmation email is also sent by RunSignUp immediately after registration.
If someone else registers for you, your registration is created as a sub‑account under their RunSignup profile, meaning they control and manage the registration on your behalf. You can choose to let them continue managing it, or you can claim the account to take ownership of your profile, update your personal information, and manage your own registration going forward.
Click here for step‑by‑step instructions on how to manage your profile and claim your sub‑account in RunSignup.
Please note that it is strongly recommended that you claim your sub‑account if you plan to make any updates to your registration (such as distance transfers or address changes) or if you want to ensure you receive official race emails, including event details and important updates.

The San Antonio Marathon & Half Marathon have timed course cutoffs: 1 for the Half Marathon and 3 for the Marathon.
- Half Marathon: 4 hours (18:19 per mile)
- Marathon: 7 hours (16:01 per mile)
Marathon participants must remain in their assigned corrals and should not drop back, as cutoffs are strictly enforced. Cutoff times are based on your timing chip, not gun time. In the event of a race delay, cutoff times will be adjusted. Final cutoff details will be provided in the Race Week Runner Guide.
Course cutoff locations and times are tentative and subject to change. Final cutoff details will be confirmed closer to race weekend and shared with registered participants via email and on the official race website.
Approximate Cutoff Points:
- Cutoff #1 – Approx. Mile 6: Participants who miss this cutoff will be redirected along the course.
- Cutoff #2 – Approx. Mile 10 (Marathon only): Marathon participants who miss this cutoff will be reclassified as Half Marathon participants.
- Cutoff #3 – Approx. Mile 11 (Marathon only): Marathon participants who miss this cutoff will be turned around and directed back toward the finish area.
All cutoff mile markers, locations, and procedures are approximate and subject to change.
The course time limit begins when the final start corral crosses the start line. Participants are expected to maintain the minimum pace required to remain on the course, which will be communicated closer to race weekend.
Runners who fall behind the minimum pace may be:
- Asked to increase their pace to stay within the course time limit
- Offered transportation via an official event vehicle to a later point on the course or toward the finish area
- Directed to a medical or support station if they are unable or choose not to continue
Participants who utilize on-course transportation may still be allowed to cross the finish line and receive a finisher medal but may be listed as DNF (Did Not Finish) in the official results.
All time limits, pacing requirements, and procedures are subject to change.
