Girls on the Run of Central Iowa inspires girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. Through our after-school program, girls build confidence, strengthen social-emotional skills, and discover their limitless potential while preparing for a celebratory, non-competitive 5K.

Living History Farms is an interactive outdoor history museum where historic interpreters and hands-on activities present the many stories of Midwestern rural heritage. Three working farms represent 1700, 1850, and 1900. The 1876 town of Walnut Hill demonstrates the relationship between farms and towns.
