Formerly known as "Save the O's Sleeping In" - we have now expanded this category to include the Virtual 5K Race.

  • An excellent option for those more comfortable completing the
    Save the O's 5K on their own or with a small group of friends and family
  • A "Do It Yourself" 5K supporting a great cause
  • FLEXIBILITY!!! You pick your date and your 5K route
  • Race from home
  • Race anywhere (neighborhood, a favorite trail, Save the O's 5K route)
  • Race your way (run, walk, bike, hike, use a treadmill)
  • Use any fitness app or device to measure the distance
  • No crowds (a great option for immunocompromised or high-risk individuals)

All Virtual 5K participants will receive:
  • 5K t-shirt
  • Swag Bag
  • Printable race bib
  • Printable finisher certificate
Registration Details:
  • $25 – Early Registration – June 30th
  • $30 – July 1st – July 31st
  • $35 – August 1 – August 27th

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
  • The Entry Fee is non-refundable but can be transferred if completed by August 15th
PACKET PICK-UP DETAILS
Packet pick-up will be at the Trak Shak in Homewood, on August 24th
. The Trak Shak is located at 2839 18th St S Homewood, AL.  Packet pick up also at Greystore Country Club Founders Clubhouse on the 25th. You may also request to have your packet shipped directly to you, shipping fees apply. This option can be selected at the time of registration.

5 for $10 - Refer 5 friends get $10 rebate 

At registration, you will receive a referral link to share with family and friends. Once 5 people register using your link you will automatically get a $10 rebate on your Save the O's registration. Rebate applied to the card used at checkout. The 5 for $10 referral is available for all 5 race options, including the in-person 5K. 
One $10 referral rebate per participant. Offer available for each participant who refers 5 friends whether that person is an individual or on a team. A Referral link must be used for the rebate to apply.

Fundraise and $ave!
Support Save the O's by becoming a fundraiser using RunSignUp! Simply create a RunSignUp Fundraising page, raise $250+, and get a $25 rebate on your Save the O's registration. Rebate applied to the card used at checkout. This offer is available for all 5 race options, including the
in-person 5K.
One $25 fundraising rebate per participant. Must use the RunSignUp Fundraising page to collect donations.
