Yes! This is a family-friendly event and we welcome strollers, kids and four-legged family members.

No, but it’s encouraged! Come dressed as a scarecrow or in any fall costume and you’re automatically entered in the costume contest.

Peddler’s Village’s annual fall display of larger-than-life scarecrows. After the race, stroll through and judge for yourself which one deserves recognition.

Yes — every 8K and 5K finisher receives a finisher medal.

Register before the hoodie deadline (mid-September in 2026) to guarantee one. Extras are ordered, but they aren’t guaranteed after the deadline.

For the 8K and 5K: overall winners (male and female) plus top 3 male and female in each age group from 9 & under through 80–89.

No. If you must leave early, let us know so we can save your award. If you can’t attend, contact us before race day to hold your hoodie.

The race is rain or shine. We reserve the right to revise or cancel the race for emergencies or weather.

We don’t issue refunds, transfers or credits for any reason.
