When and where does the race take place?
The Inagural SeaWorld's Rescue Run benefitting SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020. On-site race registration and late packet pick-up opens at 5:45am at the main entrance to SeaWorld.  Race start time is promptly at 7:00am following the National Anthem. The race is a fun run and it will take your through SeaWorld and finishing near Shamu Stadium!

 

Is Parking Free for the event?
Yes, parking is included with your entry fee!  Please plan to arrive at SeaWorld Orlando at least 45 minutes prior to race start to ensure amble time to get parked, pickup your packet, use the restroom, and proceed to the starting line.  Parking lot will close at 6:45am to allow the event to have a prompt 7:00am start time.



How long is the course?
This course is approximately 3 miles within the Theme Park!  

 

Is there a race capacity for the FUN RUN, KIDS RUN & Spectator Killer Educational Whale Ticket events?
Yes, each race / event does have an event capacity for this year.  The Fun Run event is capped at 3,000 registered participants, the Kid's Run is capped at 1,000 registered participants and the Spectator Killer Whale Educational Presentation ticket is capped at 1,000 tickets.

 

Is this race electronically scored?
This race is a FUN RUN and is not electronically scored.  We will manually score the top 3 overall Men and Women finisher's ONLY.  There will be a finish line race clock positioned at the finish line for everyone to see their finishing time.

 

When and where do I pick up my registration materials & Discounted Park Tickets?
Early race bib & t-shirt pickup location/time will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn @ SeaWorld Orlando (6850 Westwood Blvd, Orlando, FL 32821) on Thursday, January 23rd and Friday, January 24th from 10am - 6pm.  If you are not able to make it to the early bib & t-shirt pickup, you may get your race items on race day at SeaWorld Orlando beginning at 5:45am by the main entrance to SeaWorld Orlando.   Please follow signs directing you to this area located in the "CARE LOT".  Those that did purchase the Discounted Park Tickets = These will be handed out to each person at Packet Pickup.  

 

How will I receive my results?
This race will not be electronically scored and will not have any full race results.  This is a Fun Run ONLY!

 

Who receives a adult unisex soft cotton race t-shirt?
All participants that successfully complete their online race registration for the Fun Run event and payment prior to January 18th are guaranteed their race t-shirt requested size.  Participants who register after January 18th, will receive a race t-shirt but sizes are not guaranteed at this time.   The t-shirt for this year is a unisex soft cotton blend t-shirt.

 

Who receives a custom SeaWorld Rescue themed finisher medal & Rescue water bottle?
All PAID participants that finish the Fun Run event will receive a customized SeaWorld themed finisher medal & SeaWorld Rescue custom water bottle!  Both items will be given out upon crossing the finish line.  Kids participating in the Kids Run following the paid Fun Run event will also receive a commemorative SeaWorld themed medal & SeaWorld animal themed fun item!

 

Where do I pickup my Discounted Park Tickets that I purchased when I registered for the Fun Run?
All discounted park tickets will be handed out at Packet Pickup - either at Early Packet Pickup or on Race Day.  These tickets are valid from January 25, 2020 - February 9, 2020.


Can I participate in the event with my pets?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed to participate in this event.  

 

Can I participate with a stroller?
Yes, nurturing future generations of runners is a priority and demonstrating healthy lifestyles to our kids is special.  We do ask those registrants participating with a stroller, must line up the after the runners & walkers at the start line.  Please listen for directions on where to line up at on the day of the race.  Only PAID registrants will receive a finisher medal. If you would like your child to receive the custom finisher medal, you will have to pay & register your child for the Fun Run event.

 

Are Spectators allowed for the Fun Run event?
Spectators are allowed for the Fun Run event at the start and finish areas.  Spectators are not allowed into the park during the event.

 

What do I do with my personal items while I’m running?
We highly recommend that you leave all your personal items at home or in your car.  

 

Should I bring my own water?
You may bring your own water.  We will offer one water station available on the course at approximately the 1.5 mile point.  There will also be water available at the finish line.

How much does the race registration cost for each event?
FUN RUN EVENT Fees (Fun Run capacity = 3,000):

Now through Nov 15th;  $50 per person 
Nov 16th - Dec 31st; $55 per person 
Jan 1st , 2020- Jan 24th, 2020; $60 per person
Race Day - $65 per person for all ages (no discounts apply on event day registration)

*14 and Under // 65 and Older will receive a $5.00 discount through January 24, 2020.  There is a 10% discount available for SeaWorld Ambassadors (employees), Annual Pass Members & Military & First Responder's.  ID's for all discounts must be shown at time of bib & shirt pickup.*

KIDS RUN Fees (Kids Run capacity = 1,000)
Now through Jan 24th, 2020;  $10 per person 
Race Day - $15 per person 

SPECTATOR KILLER WHALE EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATION Ticket Fees (limited tickets available = 1,000):
Now through Jan 24th, 2020;  $15 per person 
Race Day - $20 per person 

VIRTUAL RUN 
Now through Jan 24th, 2020;  $60 per person 
Items to be mailed 3-4 weeks following the event.

I will be out of town on race day and not able to participate. Can I get a refund?
We appreciate your race registration. Unfortunately, we are unable to issue refunds.  

 

Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
We have a no race transfer policy.

 

Will the race be held if it's raining?
The race is a "rain or shine" event. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, such as in a rain coat or hat. Umbrellas can pose a safety hazard to others.  We ask that you refrain from bringing them to the event.

 

What will be provided after the race?
An amazing post-race festival area will be held near Shamu Stadium by the finish line.  All participants will receive a finisher's medal, water, fruit and granola bar.  We will host an awards ceremony at approximately 8:15am near Shamu Stadium along with SeaWorld Rescue Animals & Characters plus fun for the whole family!

 

Where do I park?
Parking is FREE at SeaWorld Orlando for the fun run.  We ask you plan to arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the race start.  Parking lot will close at 6:45am to allow for an on time start of 7:00am.

 

What is the "SignUp" Fee?
The "SignUp fee" is a fee that is charged by RunSignUp to process your race registrations.  The sign up fee is based on by the total amount of transactions at the time of check out not by runner.

 

Do I have to register online?
Yes, online registration is the only way to register for the Fun Run & Kids Run event + the Spectator Killer Whale Educational Presentation tickets.  You can also register on event day if the event is still open.  Each event does have an Event Capacity.  Please see below for each event capacity:

FUN RUN Capacity - 3,000 PAID Participants (ages 8 & up)
KIDS RUN Capacity - 1,000 PAID Participants (ages 0-7)
SPECTATOR KILLER WHALE EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATION Ticket - 1,000 PAID Spectators
