Will the Turkey Trot be in person this year?
Yes, the 2024 Shinnston Turkey Trot will be live and in person. There is no virtual event offered this year.
What time does the race start?
We will start the Gobble Wobble at 8:50 am with the 5K starting at 9 am. Please allow time to park and get to the start line. The road near the start line will close at 8:50 am
Where can I park?
Parking will be available in the following parking lots: Walgreens, Vincent's Lumber and East of Chicago. Family Dollar and Advance Auto will not be available for parking because they will be open for business. Also, we ask that you don't park on Pike Street through Shinnston because that is part of the racecourse; side streets will be available but be courteous to homeowners.
Where is pre-registration and packet pick-up?
Wednesday *ONE NIGHT ONLY* November 27 from 5-8 pm The Light House, Shinnston First Baptist Church, 70 Rebecca Street, Shinnston, WV
Are pets allowed at the event?
No, due to the increase size of the event and number of participants.
Are there awards?
Awards are given to the top 3 male and female finishers. Medals will also be awarded to the top 3 males and females in all age brackets. Children's Gobble Wobble participants will receive ribbon.
Do I need to wear my race bib?
Yes, it contains your timing chip. You must cross the start and finish line to calculate your race time.
