TIMING/LIMITS/RESTRICTIONS

The 5K is a chip-timed event. The 1-mile fun walk is not timed.

Participants in the 1-mile walk will start first, five minutes before the 5K.  Due to logistical concerns with the course merge, we ask that anyone who intends to run on race day to select the 5K.  You must finish the 1 mile route in 30 minutes.

Participants in the 5K will start just after the 1-mile walkers and follow a different route and direction from the walk course.  You must complete your course in 1 hour but you can run, jog or walk the entire course. Don’t worry, the festival area at the end of the race will be eagerly awaiting you!

Jogging strollers are permitted, but are asked to start in the back of the pack.  Wheelchair athletes are permitted, but due to safety concerns and street closure restrictions, cannot travel faster than the fastest runner.   No bikes, scooters, skateboards, or other wheeled vehicles are allowed.

AWARDS

In addition to the Chief's Cup, we will have awards for the top 3 overall Male & Female 5K finishers.  Winners will get an award (No awards for the 1-mile walk)

Following the race, we will host a short awards ceremony on site from the stage in the village.  Afterwards, we invite all participants and their cheering section to join us for a post-race party where we will continue to have fun and fellowship.

POLICE DEMOS

Following the race, please join us for a special demonstration, Q&A Session and Photo Opportunity featuring the K9 dogs, Tactical Team, Forensics Unit, Honor Guard and more.
