Snowman Stampede 4K - 8K Fun Run

Race Venue

1. Where will be the race be held?  At Hogan's Fountain in Cherokee Park, 745 Cochran Hill Rd, Louisville, KY 40206
2. What time does the race start?  The 4K and 8K races will start at 9:00 am
3. What time should I arrive?  Please arrive at least one hour before the race start time.
4. Where will I park?  Parking is available on the side of the road in this area. 
5. Can I leave before all runners have finished?  Yes, but PLEASE be cautious of runners if you leave before the course is clear.

 

Race Registration

1. When does online registration close?  Online registration will close on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 9:00 am
2. Can I register on race day?  Yes! Race day registration will be available for an increased fee over pre-registration fees. Cash and checks only will be accepted on race day.
3. What do I get for my registration fee? Your registration fee includes a race t-shirt. Available sizes are Youth Medium & Large, Adult Small, Medium, Large, X-Large. NOTE: Race t-shirts are not guaranteed if you register after November 21st.
4. Is there a benefiting charity?  Yes, all proceeds benefit the athletic program at Louisville Collegiate School Athletics
5. Can I get a refund of my registration fee? Sorry. registration fees go to the benefiting charity and are non-refundable.

 

Race Participation

1. When can I get my race shirt and race number?  Packet pickup is on Friday, December 6th from 12:00-4:00 p.m. in the Schubert House, 2461 Glenmary Avenue at Collegiate. Collegiate family packets will be sent home with students on Friday, December 6th. Packets will also be available on race day starting at 8:00 a.m. at the race site.
2. Can I view a course map?  Yes. Click here to view the course map.
3. Is the course totally on hard surfaces?  Yes! The course is the paved roads in Cherokee Park.
4. Is the course suitable for strollers?  Yes. Pushing a stroller on this course is possible. Please start in the back of the race pack.
5. Can I walk the race?  Yes! Walkers are welcome.
6. Can I bring my dog?  Yes! Dogs on a fixed length leash are welcome. No retractable leashes please as they create a trip hazard.
7. What is your inclement weather policy? The race will be conducted rain or shine.  In the presence of lightning at race start time, the start will be delayed 30 minutes or cancelled if lightning is still present after the 30-minute delay.

 

Race Timing/Awards/Results

1. Will the race be timed?  Yes! The race will be timed by 3 Way Racing.
2. Will awards be presented after the race?  Awards for the top female and male in each age group will be mailed after the race. Age groups are 10 & under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over.
