Race Day Parking and Transportation
This is a point-to-point race. The start and finish are over nine miles apart. Transportation is provided from the finish area to the start line. You are highly encouraged to park at the finish area and take advantage of this transportation. Buses will run from the finish area to the start line starting at 6:30am and the final bus leaving 7:30 am. Parking at the finish line will be available under and around the parking deck but will not be available on the upper floors of the deck.
No transportation is provided from the finish back to the start after the race and parking at the starting line is extremely limited. If you must arrive at the start with your own transportation, please arrange to be dropped off and met at the finish instead of leaving a car at the start. Please do not use the parking lots of the businesses at the start line. They are open for business and need the space for their customers. Your car could be towed.
There will be no packet pickup or late registration at the start line. Please make sure to bring your bib!
Porta-Potties at the Start Line area will be located behind the Walgreens building.
Gear Check
We will offer gear check at the start line for those who need to have items transported from the start back to the finish area.
Aid Stations and Medical Information
There will be three aid stations on the course, located in the vicinity of miles 3, 6 and 7.5. We encourage each runner to drink at each water stop to ensure adequate hydration. Portable toilets will be located only at the start and finish areas - there will be none on the course. The race supplies a physician for the event at the finish line. If you are not feeling well, one of the Mountain Brook police officers working the course can radio for aid.
Weather
This event will occur rain or shine, warm or cold. We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances. In that event, there will be no refunds.
Course Time Limit
There is a time limit of 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete the race. There will be a balloon lady moving at a pace to finish in this time limit. Participants must stay in front of the balloon lady to finish in the allotted time. Any participant moving at a slower pace should move to the sidewalk.
