How does it work?
Steps for Recovery, the virtual walk/run, you decide how far you go, where you go, and when you go during our event week (November 12th-19th). The Live Finish Line Festival, will be November 19th, 2022 from 12:30 - 4:30 PM, on the Kolbe Academy Campus. The festival will begin with a walk/run around the Kolbe campus and conclude with a fun afternoon of fun, food and fellowship.
Here's how it works:
- Sign up on this website!
- You will have to create a login ID and profile.
- You will have the option to create or join a team.
- Set your distance goal.
- We do not set a distance goal for you. Rather, we ask that you set your own for yourself.
- Whether you decide to walk one mile over 7 days, go 30 miles in one day or come join or live walk, be sure to keep track!
- We do not have monitors, timing mats, or runner's tags.
- You will be asked for "number of miles" when you submit your results, and it's the honor system.
- You believe in us; we believe in you too!
- Optional: Set your own fundraising goal.
- Our goal is to raise $50,000 through this event to help support our students and their families and to spread awareness and understanding of substance abuse and recovery.
- You can support us in this goal by creating a personalized fundraising page to help us meet ours!
- Wear your swag.
- Print out your customized bib and wear it while you walk or run during the event week!
- We will mail you your event T-shirt if you wish, or you can pick it up in person on race day. Please note that registrations received after November 1st are not guaranteed to receive T-shirts in time for the event week.
- Be sure to take photos and share them in the photos section of this site for a chance to earn awards.
- Submit your results.
