Meet the Race Director
Thanks for stopping by! My name is Jason Cole and I am your Stewartstown Main St 5k Race Director. I moved to Stewartstown in 2018 because of the charm and community this small town holds. In my mind, the smaller the town, the more responsibility there is on all of its residents to uphold what we know and love about the town. While training for my first Ironman 70.3, I spent countless hours and almost endless miles running through, around, down, across, and any other direction you can think of in Stewartstown. This gave me almost too much time to think about how I could bring an event to the community to energize and promote a healthy lifestyle, give the residents an annual event they can prepare for every year, and give back every penny to the community. With our inaugural event on August 13th, 2022, we did just that!
In 2022 we held our first ever Stewartstown Main St 5k, and while nothing is perfect, it was over and above anything we could have imagined. We were able to raise $4,200 in net proceeds for our community, and give a fantastic event back to the town. We then gave an anonymous survey to all participants and compiled a list of ways we can change and continue to grow this event which can be found here: Changes for 2023
