Description
The 5K is presented by Homes and Hops in collaboration with the following local breweries: Birdfish Brewing Company (Columbiana), Modern Methods (Warren), Biker Brewhouse (Austintown) and Noble Creature (Youngstown).
Title sponsors for the event are Platt Insurance and Union Home Mortgage. Additional sponsors are Homes and Hops, Mercy Health Foundation - Mahoning Valley, City Machine Technologies, RAT Creative Screen Printing, Second Sole Racing, 21 WFMJ, & Market Title Agency.
The race takes place now through June 28th. You may run your 5K distance in any location and will be able to submit your time to josh@secondsoleohio.com Times will be uploaded daily.
Your registration includes a finisher medal, participant t-shirt, and beginner 5K training plan. The first 50 signed up will also receive a free beer ticket (ages 21 & over) to be redeemed at one of the four breweries. You may pick up your goodie bag, which includes your medal and shirt, on Saturday, July 11th from 11am-1pm at any of the four breweries. You will select your brewery during registration. Or you may choose to have your goodie bag shipped to you.
All proceeds will benefit OH WOW!, the Roger and Gloria Jones Children's Center for Science and Technology in Youngstown, Ohio.
