Guest Day Pass: Big Tex Backyard – Texas State Parks Special Event — $6.30 ea.

This Special Event Guest Pass provides park entry for family, friends, crew members, and spectators (ages 13+) attending the Big Tex Backyard race for one day only (see Weekend Pass for overnight or multiple days). Pass is required per person.

Important:

Registered runners, volunteers, campers with reserved sites, and children 12 and under DO NOT need to purchase a park pass. This pass is only required for additional guests.

How It Works:

After purchasing this pass, please show your order confirmation at Packet Pickup / Merch Area to receive your event wristband for park entry.

Arrival & Parking:

Friday:

• Drive directly to the group dining hall start/finish area for packet pickup and canopy setup.
• The front entrance staff may verify you have registration or pre-purchased pass, you do not need to go inside the park entrance HQ.
• The pass (bib for participants or wristband for guests) can be picked up from the packet pickup.

Saturday:

• Park staff will direct you to the nearest available parking during the pre-race parking timeframe
• Additional and more flexible parking begins after ~11 AM, additional friends/family/crew are encouraged to wait till this time to enter the park.

Park Rules:

Please help us maintain a safe environment inside the park:

• Do not speed in the park
• Stop at all crosswalks
• Only park in paved, marked parking spaces or on the righthand side of the roadway as designated, unless directed otherwise by park staff

Park Access:

SFA State Park remains open to the public during the event weekend.

• Gates are staffed during normal business hours
• Texas State Parks Annual Passes are accepted during staffed hours for general park guests
• Gates remain open but unstaffed during off-hours, allowing you to come and go as needed
