Where's the best place for pets and family to celebrate Halloween? The Alamo Boxer Rescue Boxer BOOgie 5K/3K Walk/Run/Stroll of course!
This is the 7th Annual Boxer BOOgie and it just gets better every year. This is a family and pet friendly event. We have chip timing for the serious runners and everyone else is welcome to participate with the walk/stroll around beautiful Woodlawn Lake's paved trails. Dogs can get their own race bib, participate in the very popular costume contest, go trick-or-treating to the vendors' booths, win prizes, get a Halloween picture made, and sample refreshments with their human friends. The only thing the organizers ask is that their humans be well-behaved and on a leash.
So what's in it for the humans? The first 500 registered are guaranteed an event shirt. The first 200 registered will also receive a pair of boxer shorts with the Alamo Boxer Rescue logo.
ABR is a 501c3 charitable organization run by volunteers and dedicated to rescuing dogs all over Central and South Texas. Each rescued boxer receives needed vaccinations, medications, spay or neuter, and heartworm test. They are placed in foster homes, treated, trained and matched with a "forever family."
