FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS A "VIRTUAL 5K"?: A virtual 5K is a 3.1 mile walk, run or bike ride that you complete anywhere you'd like (including indoors on a treadmill or stationary bicycle), at any time you'd like within the event window of May 1st through May 27th.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?: All walkers, runners, cyclists and/or supporters are welcome! Challenge your family, friends or favorite workout buddy to join in on the fun too, the more the merrier! Please note: race packets can only be shipped within the United States and Canada.

WHEN CAN I REGISTER?: Now through May 27th. Register by May 15th date to receive your race swag by the virtual recognition event.

WHEN IS THE RACE?: Complete your 5K (3.1 miles) between May 1st and May 27th, submit your times here by May 27th and then join us on Friday, May 28th for a virtual award ceremony and happy hour to celebrate!

DO I NEED TO SUBMIT MY TIME?: When submitting your results through the "Results" tab found at the top of the screen, you are not required to enter your time to confirm you've completed your 5K. However, there will be a prize awarded for fastest time so we encourage you to include it when submitting your results.

WHAT'S INCLUDED WITH MY REGISTRATION?: With your registration you will receive a race packet that includes- a finisher's medal, reusable tote bag, notepad, and travel water bottle. You will also receive a digital race bib, 1 raffle ticket and an invitation to the Strides & Rides Virtual Recognition & Happy Hour event on May 28th.

ARE THERE PRIZES?: Yes! In addition to door prizes and raffles, we will be awarding prizes in the form of American Express gift cards to the fastest male and female participants from each category as well as to the top fundraiser over all and best photo submission.

WHAT IS THE RAFFLE PRIZE?: The winner of the raffle will have the opportunity to choose their prize between a Garmin vívoactive or Garmin Venu fitness smart watch (valued at $350).

HOW DO YOU SUGGEST I TIME/TRACK MY RUN/WALK/BIKE RIDE?: There are many free tracking apps available through your phone's app store that can record your time and distance (i.e. "Map My Run/Walk/Ride").
