How to Sign Up as a Team

Save $5 per person when your team reaches 5 people!

All runners will sign up individually. While signing up, all participants will be asked if they would like to create or join a team. Joining a team is not required.   When the 5th team member signs up, team members 1-4 will be given a $5 refund.  Additional team members will be able to sign up at $5 off the current registration price.

Race Day Registration
Those who sign up the day of the race are not eligible for the team pricing. 

 

Team Rules & Scoring

All races will have Team competitions:

• All individual team members must be registered for the same race.
  
  
• Teams can have 1-15 individual members in total. Teams will be unique to each race. 
  
  
• Traditional cross country rules will apply.  We will score the top 5 runners (4 for the Middle School Race) from each team.  The next 2 runners will be awarded points to displace those behind them, but not count towards the team totals. Any runners beyond the top 7 for a team will not be awarded points and not displace runners behind them.
  
  
• The tie-breaker will be the better net team time for the top 5 individuals.
  

 

Team FAQs

• Is this a CHSAA sanctioned event?
  No, this event is not a CHSAA sanctioned event.   We will not be enforcing CHSAA uniform requirements, so get creative!
  
  
• Will captains be able to manage their teams?
  Yes, captains will have the ability to invite others to join their team as well as manage their teams on the group page.
  
  
• Can I sign up and create or join a team later?
  Yes.  You can create or join a team after registration. 
  
  
• Can we have a team with less than 5 people? If so, can we win Team Awards? 
  Yes. There is no minimum size for teams.  No. teams must have at least 5 scoring members to be eligible for team awards.
  
  
• I am coach. Can I create a Team for my runners without signing up?
  Yes.  Navigate the to Teams Page.  Then click "Create a Team without Registering".  You will be listed as a captain but not a race participant.
