Course
Marathon and Half Marathon participants will start heading West for 1.44 miles then turn around and head back towards Stahlman Park Pavilion. Participants will run past the Start/Finish Line towards San Luis Pass. Marathoners & Half Marathoners will have another turn around at approximately Mile 8 to come back to Stahlman where Half Marathoners will Finish and Marathoners will set out for their second lap. Marathoners will go through a separate chute at Stahlman to record their split time.
10K, 5K & Kids K participants will start heading East toward San Luis Pass then turn around and head back to the finish line.
Water Stations are every 1.5-2.5 miles. Course is accurately measured by GPS. During times of high or changing time there is a possibility of a little zig-zagging. The great news is you can't get lost - the ocean will either be on your right or your left!
Be aware of your surroundings. Tide may cause ripples, irregularities and debris on beach. Beach is open to the public and there may be vehicular traffic on beach. Generally, there is plenty of room for both runners and vehicles and traffic is light at the time of the race.
Venue & Parking
All events begin and end at on the beach in front of Stahlman Park Pavilion.
You will park on the beach a small walk from Stahlman Park and the Start/Finish Line. Beach Traffic is ONE WAY. Please park single file, perpendicular to the dunes.
Parking Option 1:
From Lake Jackson - Turn left onto Blue Water Highway and continue for about 1.3 miles. Turn right on Beach Access Road YUCCA Dr and then left onto the beach.
From Galveston - Keep straight after San Luis Pass and Continue straight for about 12 miles, passing Stahlman Park Pavilion. Turn left on Beach Access Road YUCCA Dr and then left onto the beach.
Parking Option 2 (recommended for smaller vehicles):
From Lake Jackson - Turn left onto Blue Water Highway and continue for about 2.5 miles, passing Stahlman Park Pavilion. Turn right on Beach Access Road BAY St. and then left onto the beach.
From Galveston - Keep straight after San Luis Pass and Continue straight for about 10 miles, passing Stahlman Park Pavilion. Turn left on Beach Access Road BAY St. and then left onto the beach.
