A. This is a coached instructional camp. Sessions focus on skill development, technique, transitions, pacing, gear, and swimrun-specific execution, not just accumulating training volume.

- Educational discussions
- Time to recover, refuel, and connect with other athletes
- A detailed schedule will be shared with registered participants prior to the camp.
- Swimming form and running technique coaching

A. No. You may attend solo or with a partner. While swimrun is typically raced in teams, many camp sessions work well individually, and pairing opportunities may be available for certain drills.
Q. Will this camp help prepare me for upcoming races?
A. Yes. The camp is designed to help athletes improve race-day execution, including pacing, transitions, gear decisions, teamwork, and problem-solving under fatigue, skills that apply across all swimrun events.
Bonus: most of the training will happen on the ÖTILLÖ Austin swimrun course
Q. Is the camp physically demanding?
A. Sessions are challenging but manageable, with an emphasis on learning rather than exhaustion. Coaches encourage athletes to listen to their bodies and adjust effort as needed.

A.We recommend staying at our host hotel, the Aloft Austin Southwest, on Thursday and/or Sunday night. A discounted group rate is available - please click here to book directly. Complimentary camp shuttle service will be provided Friday morning to Pace Bend Park, with return transportation on Sunday after camp concludes.
Q. Can I come to camp, but not use the lodging?
A. Yes. There is a “Day Camper” option at registration that pays for your camp attendance, minus the lodging. It also includes meals.
Q. What is lodging like?
A. Accommodations are comfortable, clean, and well-suited for an active training camp environment. Linens and towels are provided. Rooms are based on double occupancy, and each room includes a private bathroom and shower, giving athletes a comfortable place to rest and recover between sessions.
The lodging reflects the spirit of the camp: practical, relaxed, and community-oriented rather than luxury-focused. It’s designed to support early mornings, full training days, and meaningful time spent connecting with fellow athletes. While this is not a high-end hotel experience, it provides everything needed for a comfortable, focused, and enjoyable camp weekend.
Athletes who prefer private or hotel-style accommodations are welcome to arrange their own lodging nearby and join us for all scheduled camp activities.
Q. Can I request a private room?
A. Private rooms are available in limited numbers and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, for an additional fee. Availability cannot be guaranteed.
If a private room is important to you, please choose the Private Room add-on during registration.
Q. How are roommates assigned?
A. Rooms are assigned on a double-occupancy basis. If you are attending with a friend or partner and would like to room together, you will have the opportunity to indicate this during registration.
If you are attending solo, we will pair you with another athlete of the same gender whenever possible. Our goal is to make roommate assignments comfortable and straightforward, please let us know of any concerns or special requests in advance, and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.
Q. If I am vegeterian or have food restrictions/allergies will these be accomodated?
A. We will try our best to accomodate. Please indicate this during registration. Final menu and meal selections will be shared prior to camp.
Q. Who do I contact with questions before or during the camp?
A. Please use the contact form on this website to get in touch.
