SAFETY FIRST

The following protocols will be in place for your safety:

Masks – all race participants, staff and volunteers are required to wear masks while in the race village and at aid stations. Race participants may take theirs off only while running. We will have disposable masks available if needed. Anyone refusing to wear a mask will be asked to leave the area.

Social Distancing – Please respect everyone’s space and give at least 6 ft. of clearance between you and others while in the start/finish area and on course.

Packet Pick-Up – Will be race morning, we will have plastic shields up at the tents to ensure everyone’s safety.

Start Corral – You will not be allowed to enter the corral without a mask on. Please stand on one of the blue dots and advance as they open up. Only once you reach the actual start line will you be allowed to remove your mask.

On-Course Etiquette – While you will be well spaced out from your fellow participants while leaving the start line, inevitably you will need to pass or be passed by someone. Please keep to the right hand side of the trail at all times unless you need to pass someone. When passing, announce yourself, and pass to the left. Also please no spitting. You don’t need us to tell you why.

Water Station – Will be touchless and self-serve. All aid station attendants will be masked and stay behind the tables.

Spectators - Yes, we are allowing spectators, but we ask that all spectators please avoid the start/finish area. There are plenty of places to watch the runners and walkers, please avoid congregating in groups of any size.

Yourself - If you have ANY COVID symptoms, including fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose within 24 hours of the event, please play it safe and stay home. Yes, we'd love to see you, but we also want to keep everyone safe. Also if you have been in direct contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID with 14 days or you yourself are awaiting test results due to an exposure, please stay home.

We thank you for following our safety plan. We'll be there with our best air fives until we can properly slap skin. We'll also have some creative signage out to serve as a friendly reminder, and while we understand that we may not all agree on what's necessary right now, masks and 6 ft, means more racing and we can all agree on that.
