Hometown Hero 5K and Fun Run

This race is in honor of Sonny Melton who sacrificed himself to save his wife during the tragic Las Vegas Shooting. Come out and help us as we raise money to redo the park basketball courts to create a Sonny Melton Memorial Court.  All proceeds will be matched by the state so all donations are appreciated.  The race is relatively flat with minimal elevation change.  The course winds through not only the town where he  lived, but the place that he loved, the place called home, until ending at the park that we hope to redo.  Registration begins at 9:00 with the Fun Run starting at 10:00 and the 5K at 10:30.  This is a superhero theme so feel free to dress up.  An award will be given for the best costume.  Award ceremony to follow the 5K, but be sure to stick around for food, car show, live music, and a day of fun for the whole family.
