Description

The Bell Ringer 50k/25k route takes place on Montgomery Bell State Park in Burns, TN. It features running on one of the best trail networks in the Nashville area.

This 31+ mile race gives area ultrarunners a close-to-home venue for a trail ultra and will showcase the tremendous natural resources of the Tennessee State Park system for visitors.

The course contains multiple uphill and downhill sections. The terrain is of moderate difficulty, providing a challenge to runners, but not too hard for first-timers.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Friends of Montgomery Bell State park to help raise funds to supoort Montgomery Bell State Park. Upon checkout, you will have the option of making an additional donation to Friends of the Park.

Cutoff Times

There will be a 2 hour cutoff time ( 9:00 AM) at the Church Birth Place Shrine at mile 7. and a 6 hour cutoff time ( 1:00 PM) at the Church Birth Place Shrine at mile 21. Finally there will be an 8 hr cutoff time (3pm) at mile 27.25, (Golf Course Maintenance road). These are hard cut off times and all runners arriving after these times will be asked to drop. Please be respectful of race officials if you are asked to drop - no discussion. You will be provided with transportation back to the Inn. There will be a 9 1/2 hour cutoff time (4:30pm) at finish. This averages out to over 17 minutes per mile pace. This is not a hike so please be respectful and do not sign up for this event if you plan to walk most of the course.

The one night package includes a Pasta Bar Dinner on Friday night, a guestroom in our Inn and breakfast in the morning on Saturday and lunch after the race. For the runners, it will be a very early breakfast “grab what you need for fuel” and go! For all others, it will be a special full breakfast buffet. The one night also includes lunch .
The two night package includes Saturday night guestroom in the Inn with all of the above. Saturday night steak dinner is included in the room and meal package prices
Ramble, TN State Park Mascot, will be with us Friday evening and all day Saturday. There will be activities for the whole family as well as a free kids run, guided hikes and a birds of prey show.
Starting at noon we will have a live band and lunch available. The lunch is included in the 50K registration, all others and family members will be able to purchase a lunch.

Kids Run

Run Club 2 Mile Trail

Middle Tennessee State Park Run Clubs will be running the 2 mile cross country trail built in 2012. This trail begins at the edge of the ball field by the campground. The trail features hills and a variety of terrain. This is a free event. Prizes will be given for the top runner for both males and females. This is a free event, provided by a Department of Health grant.

1 Mile Fun Run
Grab your friends and family and join us for a one mile FUN run! And it's free! Strollers, walkers and all are welcome to join! Our very own beloved mascot, Ramble may even be there to get it started! This event is provided courtsey of a Department of Health grant.
