Benefitting Prevent Child Abuse America and The Children's Advocacy Center of Hamilton County
Due to the current pandemic and rise in cases of COVID-19 we have elected to go VIRTUAL this year! We want to bring greek life together by running for those affected by child abuse! We will miss seeing all of your smiling faces in real life and until that can safely happen again, we want to see your photos and watch your miles accumulate. We are bringing to you a virtual 5K/ 1 mile walk to get out and stay fit while social distancing.
During March 24th-27th, 2021, Kappa Delta Sorority at The University if Tennessee at Chattanooga Beta Kappa chapter of Kappa Delta will host its 1st Annual Shamrock N' Run 5k/1 mile walk to raise money for The Children's Advocacy Center of Hamilton County and Prevent Child Abuse America. Eighty percent of the proceeds will go towards our local philanthropy: The Children's Advocacy Center. The Children's Advocacy Center has a mission to provide a coordinated and comprehensive path to healing for children who have experienced child sexual abuse or severe physical abuse, and the community in education initiatives. The CAC facilitates the teamwork essential for intervention and healing in one location where all professionals and agencies responsible for investigating and providing services can provide a coordinated response on a child's developmentally appropriate level. The remaining twenty percent of the proceeds will go towards our national philanthropy Prevent Child Abuse America. Prevent Child Abuse America has the mission to prevent child abuse and neglect in our nation’s children by providing services and programs that focus on an array of steps that will lead to a child growing and developing in a healthy successful way. Beta Kappa needs your help in making this year's Shamrock N' Run a great success! We cannot wait to see you again when it is safe! Until then, we thank you for your support always!

HOW IT WORKS
This year's Shamrock is going virtual. Let's come together as a community while staying apart!
Here is how it works...
Step 1. Register to run the virtual 5K or walk the 1 mile and invite your friends to join!
Step 2. Run/walk the distance on your own, and use the Strava app or one of your other favorites to track your time and distance! Then, upload a picture of your time onto this website to be added to the Shamrock 5K results leader board. Post a picture of your run to Facebook or Instagram using #shamrock5k
Step 3. You did it! Enjoy a cup of coffee or ice cream!
