The Inaugural Cookeville, TN Run For Resilience Ostomy 5k will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017. All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc (UOAA) charity, a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible. (https://www.ostomy.org/)
RACE DAY SCHEDULE
7:00 a.m. Registration
8:00 a.m. 5K Run/Walk
9:30 a.m. Awards Ceremony
The race will start near the CPAC on the N. Walnut Ave side going north, then turning west on 1st St for a block, then west on W. 2nd St. for 4 blocks until you turn north on N. Whitney Ave. for 4 blocks then turn east on 6th St for a block then turn north on N. Hickory Ave to 7th St then turn east for 1 block on Peachtree. The course will loop TTU campus on 12th St and come south on Dixie Ave. An exact route map will be included in your registration packets.
This course is a timed race so “Go for It”!
Ample parking is located downtown and at the Leslie Town Center.
Pre-race Packet Pick up: To be Announced...
Day-of packet pickup will be from 7am-8am on October 7th at the race site
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and top 3 female overall finishers, and the top 3 ostomates.
Tech T-shirts will be included with registration if registered before the deadline. Race shirts will be either unisex or female v-neck cut. You are guaranteed a race shirt if you register by September 20th. You may purchase additional race shirts for $10 each.
OPTIONAL OSTOMY POUCH
Race registration bags will have typical race/sponsor promotional items, ostomy education materials, and most importantly an ostomy pouch. We encourage non-ostomate participants to put on the pouch for the race to improve awareness and empathy for the challenges faced by people living with ostomies.
